15 Minute Guarantee Details

When you register online using the InQuickER service at Emory-Adventist Hospital, our promise is that you will be seen by a Physician or a Physician Assistant within 15 minutes of your "appointment time". In order to receive this 15-minute guarantee, we need you to make sure these two things happen:

  1. Provide all requested information during the InQuickER registration process. If you are unable to provide all the requested information during the online registration process, there may be a delay when you arrive at the hospital as the triage nurse obtains that information after your arrival.
  2. Arrive at the hospital on time at your selected treatment time. In order to be seen within 15 minutes, you must arrive by your specified time, or there may be additional delays.

Because InQuickER is associated with a network of Joint Commission accredited Emergency Departments, there may be times when life threatening or emergency needs of other patients will not allow you to be seen within 15 minutes of the originally specified time.

If you wait more than 15 minutes after the time committed to you, there is no charge for your ER treatment. That includes no charge for the ER visit, no charge for diagnostic services, and no charge for supplies. However, there may be a charge for the professional services of a consulting physician if one is called in. Additionally, if your condition requires admission, there will be a charge for the inpatient or observation admission.

WAIT AT HOME

Hospital emergency departments treat patients in order of severity, using a process called triage.

Patients who use InQuickER do not receive preferential treatment in this process. A patient who uses InQuickER will wait the same amount of time as a patient arriving in the waiting room with similar symptoms; however, with InQuickER, you can wait at home (or at another location), rather than waiting in the ER waiting room.
